baby stuff, baby stuff, baby stuff!

Well, it's been a wild week. I have been on spring break this week and so was my mom, so she and my dad came to visit for 4 days. It was lovely! We had the best time and the busiest time too. My mom, if you don't know her, is an outstanding decorator and helped me a ton with the baby's nursery. It was so much fun spending time with her as we worked. (I have to mention that my dad also helped by hanging the curtain rods and putting up a shelf-THANKS DAD!) Anyways, Griffin's room is so, so amazing now! I will post some pics soon, but at the moment I have baby gifts sprung out all throughout it and we also have our glider that came in on Thurs. which just so happened to not come with the hardware we need in order to put it together, so therefore all the other parts are spread out just waiting for their screws, etc to come so it can all be joined together to make a nice glider. I mean something like that HAD to happen, right? We almost made it through with no obstacles as such, but it's us, and with us SOMETHING is bound to happen at some point. (hence our sofa cushion that we had to wait to get for 3 months last year)

Back to the baby stuff. Our church gave us a shower on Thurs. night and I came home with so many cute things and nice things. Then yesterday our friends, Derek and Sharla, let us come over and go through all their baby things that they are through with and pick out whatever we needed or wanted. So that was a HUGE blessing, because there were many things I had not gotten yet that I needed that they had! The Lord is so good! So, now all we have to do is get to washing all these new baby clothes, blankets, burp rags, etc... and get to organizing everything else. I cannot wait to use it all! Just 6 weeks to go if he comes around his due date!

One more thing: One of my college roomates and very good friends, Megan Card, had her second baby boy this past week! She was so strong and tough throughout her pregnancy and is a huge inspiration to me as a mother. Way to go Meg! I am so proud of you and cannot wait to meet baby Rylan! I love you!
