16.5 months

hello MeeMaw? Naunie? are y'all there? come see me soon!

getting taller...

Griffin is now 16 1/2 months old. Which means he's almost to the point of being almost two. (yes, I think about these things :) I will always remember this summer as the summer of water and the swing. We played in the backyard in the pool and water table and with the water hose and swung more times than I can ever count. We loved it! It was such a fun summer with Griffin walking and learning so much. Now that Fall is almost hear and summer is coming to it's final end, I have been reflecting on the summer and how God blessed us. We took so many great trips as a family and really just enjoyed Griffin in the stage he is in. He learned to dance this summer. He LOVES to dance. He learned where his toes, ears, feet, nose, head, belly, and hair are and can point to them. He can say fish, bye bye, mama, dada, and other words we can't exactly make out just yet. He can roar like a lion when asked "What does a lion say?" but then when we ask him what a cow says he roars like a lion again, associating it with the type of question I guess, not the animal. But it's funny anyway. He now enjoys wearing his little back pack around the house while he plays. He pretends to talk on my phone and pretends to take pictures with our camera. Trying to teach him how to say "cheese". He can sign "more", "please", and "all done". Haven't tried to teach him any of the other ones.
He loves to read by himself or with us, sitting in our laps.
He stills loves birds and can pinpoint one in the sky when we are outside that is pretty far away.
He laughs at us and can fake a laugh too. And can fake sneeze too. He thinks that's pretty funny.
Ok so I could keep going but I'm kinda tired of typing. Happy 16.5 months Griffin! We love you from the deepest part of our hearts!
