Once Upon a Child

We traveled to the great little city of Lubbock, Texas on Saturday. Our main purpose, or should I say MY main purpose, for wanting to go was to check out the baby consignment shop they have there, called Once Upon A Child. I have heard some of my friends here in Clovis talk about this place several times and I have wanted to go for awhile. However, we never go to Lubbock. Why? Because it seems like every time we go it takes forever to get there and then forever to get home! I guess I just can't get used to living so far from decent shopping and hate having to to drive almost 2 hours just to go to Target or enjoy a Starbucks drink. So that all to say, we don't really enjoy going to Lubbock, but once in a blue moon we go.
So we went to this cool baby consignment shop and we ended up finding a few pieces of winter clothing for Griffin and also a Fisher Price Rainforest Jumperoo! What is a jumperoo you ask? Well, it's awesome! It's a little seat thing that a baby can jump up and down in with alot toys all around it. I have been wanting to get Griffin one for awhile but they are really expensive ($80 or more) and can't afford that. So, my friend Cristy told me that this consignment place had one! Well we got there and they had two! We got the one that looked the nicest and only paid $45 for it! We were excited about that! All I had to do was wash the pad thing that Griffin sits in and disinfect all the toys on it and it's like brand new! Griffin doesn't seem to like it much just yet, but hopefully he will when he gets a little older and can really jump in it.
We also went to Kohls, got to see my sweet friend, Scarlet, who goes to Tech, got to see Tylers brother, Mitchell, and eat at Chicken Express! It was a good trip, besides the crying of Griffin the last 30 minutes on the way home. He doesn't like to be in the carseat for too long during the evening hours I guess.
We made it home. That's the main thing. We were exhausted the next day. Griffin took a 3 hour nap Sunday. While in Lubbock he only took short cat naps all day (another reason why he probably was so cranky on the way home).
