Favor

I love Sundays. Have I mentioned that lately? Sundays are amazing because God has used the new church we are at (Terranova) to minister to me in so many ways. The teaching at Terranova is so rich, convicting, challenging, and drenched in scripture that God has really encouraged me and is changing me through listening and letting His word fill my heart each week. We have started going through the book of Luke and it has been awesome! I love it! Today Kyle (our pastor) preached through Mary's prayer in chapter 1. I love her prayer. As I sat there and listened God spoke to my heart. See I have been praying lately that He would show us His favor in causing our house in Clovis to sell soon. He whispered to me this morning that He already has shown me favor and I need to remember and be thankful for that favor in all He has done for me. He has shown me favor by giving me Himself, His love for me, in saving me by His grace, by causing my heart to believe the gospel, and in blessing me with a godly husband and giving me children. SO MUCH FAVOR! I forget these things so often. I know He desires to give me the desires of my heart, but it doesn't always happen and if it does it doesn't always happen when I want it to, but I must remember the favor He has shown me thus far and praise Him no matter what.

I am eager to see what God will continue to do in my heart through this time in my life. I am thankful that He loves me enough to discipline me, change me, and not just let me get comfortable and stay the same. I desire to be more godly, to know His word better, and continue to grow spiritually throughout my life.

This is Griffin on our way home from the river Friday. I love how he looks when he's asleep. :)
